Auchentoshan 12 Year Old is a Lowland single malt from a distillery on the outskirts of Glasgow, where production has run since 1823. The whisky is triple distilled and matured for 12 years in American oak ex-bourbon barrels and Spanish Oloroso sherry casks.
On the nose it offers toasted almonds, crème brûlée and caramelised toffee. The palate brings vanilla sweetness with tangerine and lime, dried fruit, gentle nuttiness and ginger spice, followed by a smooth, lingering finish.
