Auchentoshan 12 Year Old is a Lowland single malt Scotch whisky, triple-distilled and matured for twelve years. It comes in a 75cl bottle.
The maturation uses a combination of ex-Bourbon American oak casks and Spanish Oloroso sherry casks.
The nose is fragrant, with sweet pastry, toasted almonds and citrus zest. On the palate it is light, with vanilla cream, tangerine and white peach over a hint of hazelnut. The finish is crisp, slightly dry and gingery, with a lingering nuttiness.
