This is a 13 year old Lowland single malt from Auchentoshan, distilled in 2007 and bottled in 2021 at 48% ABV. La Maison du Whisky selected it as an independent bottling, and the maturation involved first-fill Sherry influence.
It is Edition 5.6 in the fifth Artist Collective series, and the label carries the colourful "Aquarelle" artwork by illustrator Théo Guignard.
The nose brings dried fruits, orange peel and toasted nuts. On the palate there are raisins, citrus, chocolate and nutty Sherry notes, and the finish is long and warming with dried fruit, cocoa and spice.
