This is a 13 year old Auchentoshan from Duncan Taylor's Octave range, finished in Palo Cortado sherry octaves. It was distilled in 2011 and bottled in 2025 at 54.7% ABV, in a 70cl bottle, as one of 84 bottles.
The octave finish changes the whisky's character. Before it, the notes are grape juice, honeysuckle, creamy, buttered toast and grass. Afterwards they move to rose petal, dried apricots, vanilla toffee, light citrus and tobacco.
