This Auchentoshan 15 Year Old was distilled in 2010 and bottled by Berry Bros. & Rudd as part of its Odyssey Collection, within the Crafted in Cask series. It is a Lowland single malt from triple-distilled spirit, bottled at 55.7% ABV.
The whisky was first matured in a single bourbon barrel, then given further maturation in a Pomerol wine cask, number 700968. That finish adds texture and red fruit while the light Auchentoshan character remains. 174 bottles were produced.
Ripe berries, orchard fruits, gentle vanilla and soft oak spice make up the flavour.
