This is a 16-year-old Lowland single malt from Auchentoshan, bottled by the distillery itself in 2007 at 53.7% ABV. It is a limited edition bottling, with an outturn of 4,800 bottles.
The whisky spent its sixteen years maturing in first-fill American oak bourbon barrels.
The nose is fresh and fruity, with vanilla, grain, pear and flowers. On the palate come caramel, more grain and peach, along with some spice from the wood. The finish is oak and vanilla.
