Auchentoshan – 1998 Cask Strength The Pearls of Scotland (55.3%)

This is a single cask Auchentoshan from the Pearls of Scotland series, an independent bottling of a Lowland single malt. It was distilled in September 1998 and bottled in May 2015 at a cask strength of 55.3%, with no added colour. The outturn was 590 bottles. Auchentoshan is a Glasgow distillery that triple-distils its spirit. The nose brings citrus blossom and honey with a touch of fresh herbs. The palate stays floral, rounded by sugary almond and lemon fruit. The finish is of medium length, with a prickle of white pepper.
