This is an Auchentoshan single malt from the Lowlands, distilled in 2010 and bottled in 2021 at 11 years old. It was finished in a first fill Ecuador rum barrel and bottled by Whisky Druid at 52.7% ABV, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The outturn was 249 bottles.
The nose begins with dry straw, followed by tropical fruit such as young pineapple and mango, with desiccated coconut. On the palate it is smooth and soft, with oats and barley, lighter pineapple, a little coconut and ripe mango at the close. The finish is medium and soft, with a pleasant fruit sweetness.
