Auchentoshan – 22 Year Old 1998 Celebration of the Cask (70cl, 48.6%)

This is a 22 year old Auchentoshan from the Lowlands, bottled by Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers in their Carn Mor Celebration of the Cask series. It was distilled on 3 April 1998 and matured in a Bourbon barrel until it was bottled on 8 March 2021. It is bottled at a natural cask strength of 48.6% ABV, non-chill-filtered and with no added colour. The outturn is 155 bottles from cask 1006696, in 70cl bottles. Tasting notes describe lemon sherbet and honey, followed by gingerbread and almonds.
