Auchentoshan 24 Year Old is a Lowland single malt released to mark the distillery's 200th anniversary. Auchentoshan triple distils its spirit, and this bottling was distilled on 22 June 1998.
It was matured in American bourbon casks and European oak sherry casks, with refill casks added to complete the vatting.
The nose brings mint leaves, menthol, beeswax and green grapes, with autumnal fruits and citrus. On the palate come candied citrus peel, creamy vanilla, moist raisins and chocolate-coated almonds. The finish is long and fruity, with citrus and soft spice.
