Auchentoshan Three Wood is a Lowland single malt Scotch whisky in a 750ml bottle. The spirit is triple-distilled, which is how Auchentoshan makes all of its whisky.
It is matured in three cask types one after another: American bourbon, Oloroso sherry and Pedro Ximénez sherry. The bourbon casks bring vanilla and light fruit, the Oloroso adds dried fruit and nutty spice, and the Pedro Ximénez gives a rich, dark sweetness.
The nose is toffee, Christmas cake and dried fruit. The palate is sweet and full, with raisins, chocolate, warm spice and caramel, and the finish is long and fruity.
