A single cask Lowland single malt from Auchentoshan, in a 70cl bottle at 43% ABV. It was distilled on 22 October 1979 and spent 32 years in a single first-fill Oloroso sherry cask.
The nose is rich and fruity, with manuka honey, ground almonds, Christmas cake, cinnamon and a touch of star anise. The palate is creamy and full of vanilla, with candied peel, ginger, toasted oak, liquorice and aniseed. The finish brings plum jam and cinnamon, with perhaps a hint of pipe tobacco.
