Auchentoshan American Oak is a Lowland single malt, triple distilled and matured in first-fill bourbon barrels. It is bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle and has a golden colour.
The bourbon casks give a balance of vanilla and coconut. The distillery was built in 1823.
On the nose there are oranges, lemons, pieces of caramel and milk chocolate, with grassy hints and clotted cream. The palate brings Bounty bars, citrus peel and peaches, slightly buttery, with golden barley and oak spice in the middle. Grapefruit and toffee linger in the finish.
