Auchentoshan American Oak is a Lowland single malt Scotch whisky in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 40% ABV. It is matured in first-fill North American casks that previously held bourbon, and the casks are then married together to make the final whisky.
It pours a bright gold. The nose is led by bourbon vanilla, coconut and layers of zesty citrus, and the palate is smooth yet lively, with vanilla cream, coconut and white peach. The finish is crisp, with sugared grapefruit and a hint of spice.
