Auchentoshan Dark Oak is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Lowlands, bottled at 43% in a 1 litre bottle. The colour is dark honey.
The nose brings nut and caramel with coconut and vanilla from the wood, soft oak spice, floral freesia, red berries, strawberries and a rich sherry character.
The palate is spicy and sweet, with toasted hazelnuts, brittle and caramel, crème caramel, candied apple and sugared almonds, plus a hint of liquorice-like tannin. The finish is floral and sweet, with honeysuckle and caramel bars.
