Auchentoshan – Provenance 8 Years 2016/2024 (46%)

This is a single cask Lowland malt from Auchentoshan, bottled by Douglas Laing in its Provenance series and marked Special Selection. It was distilled in March 2016, matured for eight years in a refill barrel and bottled in June 2024 at 46% ABV, giving 337 bottles. It is non-chill-filtered, without added colour and suitable for vegans. Auchentoshan is triple distilled, at Clydebank near Glasgow. The nose is nutty, moving to caramel and spice. The palate is creamy and buttery, and the finish adds sweet butterscotch and vanilla.
