Auchentoshan Three Wood is a Lowland single malt in a 75cl bottle. The spirit is triple-distilled, then matured in three types of cask in turn: American ex-Bourbon barrels, Spanish Oloroso sherry casks and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks.
The nose brings cooked fruit, brown sugar, orange peel and plum, with raisins and a hint of dark chocolate. The palate is rich and syrupy, with sweet hazelnut, cinnamon, lemon zest, butterscotch and dark roasted coffee. The finish is long and warm, with dried fruit, dark chocolate and sweet oak spice.
