Auchentoshan Three Wood is a single malt bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It is matured in three kinds of cask: American oak that previously held bourbon, Spanish oloroso sherry casks and Pedro Ximenez casks.
The distillery's characteristic softness is joined by a deeper fruitiness from those casks, giving a whisky that is rich, lively and fruity.
The palate shows blackcurrants and plums with a touch of hazelnut, cinnamon and caramel, and the finish is sweet and oaky.
