Auchentoshan – Three Wood (43%)

Auchentoshan Three Wood is a triple-distilled Lowland single malt matured in three kinds of cask in turn. It starts in ex-bourbon American oak, which adds vanilla and a light sweetness, then moves to Spanish Oloroso sherry casks for dried fruit and spice, and ends in Pedro Ximénez casks. Blackcurrant, plum, hazelnut and cinnamon run through the palate, ending on sweet oak. It is bottled at 43% ABV.
