Auchentoshan – Three Wood (70cl, 43%)

Auchentoshan Three Wood is a Lowland single malt Scotch whisky, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It is triple distilled, then matured in three stages: first in bourbon casks, then in Oloroso sherry casks, and finally in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. The result is a softer sherried whisky without smoke, with more body than a classic Lowland malt. The nose offers raisins, dried fruit, caramel, orange peel and light oak. The palate is full and round, with toffee, dark chocolate, sherry sweetness and a soft spiciness. The finish is medium to long and warm, slightly sweet, with wood and cocoa.
