Auchentoshan – Three Wood Lowland Single Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl, 43%)

Auchentoshan Three Wood is a Lowland single malt Scotch whisky, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It is matured in three types of cask: American bourbon, then Spanish Oloroso sherry, and finally Pedro Ximenez sherry. The result is described as rich and complex, with toffee and sherry flavours. The nose offers blackcurrant, brown sugar, orange, plum and raisin. On the palate come fruit and syrup, hazelnut with hints of cinnamon and lemon, and a butterscotch sweetness. The finish is fresh and fruity, with a long-lasting oaky sweetness.
