Auchentoshan Three Wood is a Lowland single malt bottled at 43% ABV. It is made from triple-distilled spirit and matured in three types of cask: American bourbon barrels, Spanish Oloroso sherry casks and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks.
The three woods bring dark fruit sweetness, toffee, chocolate and a silky texture.
The nose offers dark cherries, raisins, caramel, vanilla and toasted nuts with a hint of cinnamon. On the palate there are chocolate, treacle, plum and sultanas, with the Pedro Ximénez adding dried fruit. The finish is long, warm and sweet, with chocolate and oak spice.
