August 17th 3 Year Old is a Belgian single malt from the Wave Distil distillery, bottled in 2019 at 40% in a 70cl bottle. The release was limited to 640 bottles.
It matured in oak casks that previously held Cognac and Port, which give it a sweet, fruity style.
The nose is soft vanilla, white peach, floral notes and a light wine influence. The palate is slightly sweet, with grapes, honey, young oak and subtle Cognac. The finish is medium, fresh and elegant, with a hint of port sweetness.
