This is a cask strength bourbon from Colorado, in a 70cl bottle at 54.4% ABV. The whiskey is between three and four years old. The mash bill is 70% corn, 15% rye and 15% malted barley. The nose combines buttery caramel, toasted oak, warm corn and vanilla pods. The palate brings caramel, butter toffee, fresh leather and rye bread with forest honey. The finish is very soft and round, with pleasant resinous notes, and the strength sits well within it.
