A Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC from Az. Agricola Contesa, made from the Montepulciano grape.
The nose shows intense aromas of ripe red fruits such as cherry and plum, with light spicy notes and a delicate hint of undergrowth. On the palate it is structured and harmonious, with soft tannins and a pleasant persistence.
Ageing is generally in steel or wood for short periods, intended to preserve freshness and composed elegance. It pairs well with grilled red meats, hard cheeses and traditional local dishes.
