A Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC from Azienda Agricola Contesa's Vigna Corvino line, made from Montepulciano grapes grown in Abruzzo. It is deep ruby red with violet reflections. The nose shows ripe red fruits such as cherry and plum, with delicate spicy and tobacco notes. The palate has balanced structure, soft tannins and a persistent finish. Brief ageing in steel preserves freshness and fruit. It pairs well with Abruzzese dishes such as arrosticini or sliced beef, and with aged cheeses. The 375 ml bottle suits more intimate tastings or light lunches.
