Très Vieux Pineau des Charentes
This is a five-year-old French single malt from the Cognac house Bache-Gabrielsen, made from French barley. Batch 1 is 3,000 bottles at 41% in a 70cl bottle, without chill-filtration or added colouring. The whisky matured in the house's cellars, first in American oak casks that previously held Cognac, then in casks for Très Vieux Pineau des Charentes. That second stage contributes its notes of pear and mirabelle. The nose combines pear, mirabelle and grape with pastry dough and vanilla cream. The palate is soft and fruity, with pear liqueur, stewed peaches, quince and candied orange. The finish is sweet and medium in length, with cinnamon and cocoa.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
