Bain's Cape Mountain is a single grain whisky from Wellington in South Africa, bottled at 43%. It is double matured in first-fill ex-bourbon casks, and the American oak shows in notes of coconut and oak spice alongside honey. The nose leads with vanilla, toffee and banana, with a faint floral lift and a touch of butterscotch. The palate is creamy, with caramel, vanilla fudge and ripe tropical fruit. The finish is long, warm and gently spiced.
