Balblair 15 Year Old is a Highland single malt from the distillery at Edderton, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
It matures in two stages: first in ex-bourbon casks of American oak, then in first-fill Spanish oak butts. The result combines tropical fruit with dark chocolate and a velvety texture.
The nose brings Leatherwood honey, spicy gingerbread, juicy prunes and fresh lemon peel. On the palate it is smooth and round, with dark chocolate, tropical fruit and warming spices. The finish is long and soft, with creamy vanilla and light citrus.
