Balblair 18 Years is a Highland single malt from the distillery at Edderton in Ross-shire, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It replaced the distillery's vintage releases when Balblair moved to age statements in 2018.
The whisky first matures in American ex-bourbon casks, then moves to new Spanish oak casks for a finish. It is bottled with its natural colour and without chill-filtration.
The nose is fruity and light, with cocoa, caramel sweets, spice and a background of new leather. The palate is balanced, with apricot, vanilla and nuts. The finish is long and warming, with fresh spices and raisins.
