Balblair 21 Year Old is a Highland single malt matured first for 15 years in American oak ex-bourbon casks and double-fired American oak casks. It then spent further time in Spanish oak casks seasoned with Oloroso wine, which adds layers of sweetness, spice and tropical fruit.
On the nose, pineapple and apricots mingle with cinnamon and nutmeg, then toffee apples and honey. The palate offers mango and pineapple with cloves and ginger, and the long finish brings dark chocolate and tropical fruit.
