Balcones – Texas Single Malt

Balcones Texas Single Malt is a single malt whisky made in Texas, distilled on some of the tallest copper pot stills in the world, built by Forsyth. Long fermentations use local microflora to bring out fruity aromas, and the whisky matures in customised casks in the Texas climate. Each barrel is tasted during blending. The nose offers buttered stone fruit, banana and pear, with honey, rose water and a little citrus. The palate is silky and full, with lightly toasted bread, fresh butter and marmalade. The long finish carries toast and burnt sugar, moving into malt and wood with a balancing acidity.
