Ballantine's Finest is a blended Scotch whisky from the 1970s, in a one-litre bottle. It is pale gold in colour. The nose is floral, with peat and malt alongside. On the palate it is fruity, with apples and oranges, and has a pleasantly resinous side, with cough sweets and a yeasty, natural character. The finish is longer than expected and becomes peatier.
