This Ballechin is a 14-year-old single cask Highland single malt, bottled by Signatory Vintage at a natural cask strength of 58.4% ABV. Ballechin is the heavily peated style of Edradour.
It was distilled on 19 September 2008 and bottled on 30 September 2022, after maturing entirely in a first fill bourbon barrel. The single cask gave 232 bottles. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring.
The character is powerful and smoky, with a full structure. Notes include smoke, vanilla, malt, citrus, sweet oak and spice, leading to a long, warming finish.
