A 26 year old Speyside single malt from Balmenach, distilled in 1988 and bottled in 2014 by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society as cask 48.49. It is one of 241 bottles, bottled at 49.2% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The whisky matured in a single refill bourbon hogshead and carries the name Herbal Enough To Please A Gerbil. Balmenach is known as a punchier spirit, likened to an older cousin of Glen Grant, and this bottling is described as old and dignified, with the character of a bourbon cask.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
