Balvenie DoubleWood is a 12 year old single malt Scotch whisky from Speyside, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle.
It is first matured in American oak and then transferred to European sherry casks. The American oak is said to make the whisky soft and supple, while the European wood adds a deep, fruity, full flavour.
