Balvenie – 12 Years Home Malted Barley (70cl, 47.5%)

This is a 12 year old single malt from Balvenie, made entirely from barley malted at the distillery itself. It is a limited edition and a tribute to one of the distillery's most characteristic crafts. The whisky was matured in American oak and in European oak ex-sherry casks from Jerez, bottled at 47.5% in a 70cl bottle. It is described as opening with creamy toffee, delicate ginger and aromatic oak, with a soft barley sweetness that moves towards crystallised ginger and raisins. The finish is smooth and spicy.
