This is Balvenie 12 Years Old Montilla Wine Cask, a limited single malt from the Balvenie A Collection of Curious Casks trilogy and part of the Stories series. It is bottled at 47.3% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky spent 12 years maturing in European oak that previously held a sweet dessert wine from Montilla in Spain.
On the palate it is sweet, with rich vanilla, warm spice and soft fruit.
