Balvenie – 12 Years Old Sweet Toast of American Oak (70cl, 43%)

Sweet Toast of American Oak is a 12-year-old Balvenie single malt in a 70cl bottle at 43% ABV. It was matured in double-toasted virgin oak barrels from Kentucky, a project taken on by the distillery's new malt master apprentice. Balvenie was founded in 1892 by the Grant family, who had built neighbouring Glenfiddich in 1886. The distillery grows its own barley, keeps coopers and coppersmiths on site and still uses floor maltings. Its house style is described as rich, smooth and honey-sweet.
