Balvenie Caribbean Cask is a 14 year old Speyside single malt bottled at 43% ABV. It matures for 14 years in traditional oak casks, then spends a few months in casks that previously held Caribbean rum.
The result brings together Balvenie's vanilla character with rich caramel and a touch of fruit.
The nose is rich and sweet, with creamy caramel and fresh fruit. The palate is rounded, with vanilla and sweet woody notes and a fruity character that develops over time. The finish is soft and fairly long.
