Balvenie – 14 Years Week of Peat (70cl, 48.3%)

Balvenie 14 Years Week of Peat is a peated single malt Scotch whisky, bottled at 48.3% in a 70cl bottle. It grew out of a trip to Islay by a Balvenie distillery manager, whose experiences there went into the Peat Week at Balvenie. The result is an earthy, smoky whisky without salty notes, made with peat at a level of 30 ppm. The Grant family founded the distillery in 1892, having built neighbouring Glenfiddich in 1886, and both have stayed in family hands without a break.
