Balvenie – 18 Year Old Pedro Ximénez Cask Single Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl, 48.7%)

Balvenie 18 Year Old Pedro Ximénez Cask is a Speyside single malt bottled at 48.7% in a 70cl bottle. The whisky is matured in traditional oak and then transferred into Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. The casks held Spain's sweet dessert wine, and they add raisin, fig and tart grape skin, with mandarin and lavender, to the honeyed richness of Balvenie. The nose is raisin, blackcurrant and clove with sweet lavender. On the palate come tart grape skin, mandarin and fig with a silky, honeyed texture, and the finish is long, with dried fruit, gentle spice and sherry warmth.
