Balvenie Caribbean Cask 14 Years is a single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 43% ABV. For this expression, Master David Stewart filled American oak casks with rum before the whisky was put into them.
Balvenie was founded in 1892 by the Grant family, who had built the neighbouring Glenfiddich distillery in 1886. It is unusual for a distillery to stay in one family's hands without a break, but that is the case at both Balvenie and Glenfiddich.
