This is a single barrel rye from Bardstown Bourbon Company's Origin Series, bottled at barrel strength, 60.6% ABV (121.2 proof). The mash bill is 95% rye and 5% malted barley.
It was aged for a minimum of 6 years in new charred oak and finished in toasted cherry-wood barrels.
Dry spices and citrus lead on the nose, with warming wood, banana pudding and toffee. The palate brings candied fruit, rich caramel and warm cedar, with the banana pudding returning, and the finish is creamy with a citrus touch.
