Bardstown Bourbon Co. West Virginia Great Barrel Company Blended Rye Whiskey (75cl, 55%)

This blended rye whiskey is the first cooperage collaboration between Bardstown Bourbon Company and the West Virginia Great Barrel Company. It is a custom blend of a 6 year old Indiana rye, made from 95% rye and 5% malted barley, and a 12 year old Ontario whiskey made from 100% corn. The blend is finished in cherry oak barrels toasted with infrared technology, and bottled at 110 proof. Almond, cinnamon, potpourri and baked cherry sit around traditional rye notes of mint and herbal tea. The mouthfeel is luscious, with lightly tannic oak balanced against rich berry compote.
