Barrell Bourbon New Year 2027 is the annual New Year release from Barrell Craft Spirits, a cask-strength blend of straight bourbons from seven states. It was blended and bottled in Kentucky at 57.67% ABV, in a 75cl bottle.
The components were matured in American white oak and range from 5 to 16 years old, drawn from Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Wyoming, Maryland, Texas and Ohio. The derived mash bill is 73% corn, 22% rye, 4% malted barley and 1% wheat.
The nose is caramel, baked apple, vanilla cream, toasted oak and baking spice. The palate brings brown sugar, dark cherry, molasses, vanilla and cinnamon, and the finish is long and warming, with oak, caramelised sugar, clove and toasted nuts.
