Basil Hayden is a Kentucky straight bourbon, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. The brand traces its bourbon back to 1796, when master distiller Basil Hayden used a traditional corn base and mixed small grains into the mash.
Plenty of rye sits at its core, which gives a spicy character. This is balanced by herbal notes of peppermint and a touch of fruit.
