Battery Point Distillery Bourbon Cask is a small-batch Tasmanian single malt in a 50cl bottle, bottled at 46.9% ABV. It is made in Hobart's Battery Point, double-distilled from 100% Tasmanian malt mash with Tasmanian water, and matured only in bourbon barrels.
The bourbon oak has a restrained influence, which leaves the bright, grain-driven character of the spirit at the front.
The nose is clean and gently sweet, with vanilla bean, honeycomb and citrus oils. On the palate, vanilla custard and sweet malt meet lemon zest and light tropical fruit. The finish is fresh and medium in length, with vanilla, soft oak and a herbal lift.
