BB 12 Year Old is a Scotch whisky from the 1970s. The name BB goes back to the 1970s, when Douglas Laing & Co introduced it to market export Scotch brands.
The nose combines Granny Smith apples, pineapple and vanilla with lemon cheesecake, marmalade, rich tea biscuits, soft cedar, nutmeg and a touch of farmyard.
The palate is light in body, with red apple, cooked pear, honey and barley, moving to sweet and sour citrus with a mineral edge. The finish is short to medium, with honey, milky tea, sultanas and slightly bitter grapefruit.
