Bearface Wilderness Series No. 3 Wild Air is a Canadian whisky in a limited release, bottled at 42.5% ABV and inspired by high elevations and mountain air.
It is made with Bearface's Elemental Aging process, which uses three wood treatments: Hungarian oak, birch wood charred in ex-Viognier barrels, and maple wood treated with maple syrup brulee. Fresh maple water is used in the finishing.
The nose is crisp and botanical, with fresh wood, subtle smoke, mineral notes and smoked leather. On the palate it is green and fresh, with mineral sweetness, toasted wood, a little maple and gentle smoke. The finish is long and drying.
